The Evidence Stack researches consumer health and wellness products — starting with red light therapy — and tries to answer a question most product sites skip: what is the actual evidence behind what the manufacturer is telling you?

Why this exists

In this category the marketing runs a long way ahead of the research. Devices are sold with confident claims about skin, recovery, sleep and pain, and the numbers used to compare them — irradiance above all — are quoted in ways that are not comparable between brands. A shopper trying to be sensible is left with review sites that mostly restate the manufacturer's own copy.

So we do two separable things, and we keep them separate: we compare products on specifications we can actually verify, and we audit the claims made about them back to the research those claims rest on. When we cannot find that research, we say so.

What the site is right now

This is a new site and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. There are no published product comparisons yet, no ranked recommendations, and no completed claim audits — which is why the counter on the homepage reads zero rather than showing a number nobody measured. The first cluster in progress is red light therapy panels. The remaining categories are marked "coming next" and are not clickable, because six empty category pages would make the site look fuller than it is.

What we will not do

  • We will not claim to have tested something we have not. Every product carries a label saying what we actually did — see Methodology.
  • We will not publish a ranking we have not done. Placeholder tables filled with brand names are how readers get misled.
  • We will not let commission decide a conclusion. See Affiliate Disclosure.
  • We will not give medical advice. See Medical Disclaimer.

How it is paid for

Eventually, affiliate commission — disclosed on every page that carries a commercial link. At present the site has no affiliate relationships and earns nothing.

Who publishes this

The Evidence Stack is an independent consumer publication. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any manufacturer or retailer in the categories it covers.

We do not claim clinical or scientific credentials, and you should not read us as though we had them. What we offer is a method rather than an authority: we show where each number came from, we cite the research a claim rests on, and we say plainly when we could not find any. That is checkable by you, which is the point — you should not have to take our word for it, and with the sources on the page you do not have to.
