Terms of Use

Published 10 September 2026

The Evidence Stack is published by Nelo Automation, Maine, United States. By using this site you accept these terms. They are short, because the site is simple: we publish research and you read it.

What this site is

Independent research into consumer health and wellness devices — what manufacturers claim, and what the published evidence actually supports. It is general information, not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a conversation with a qualified clinician who knows your history. Our medical disclaimer sets out those limits in full and forms part of these terms.

What we claim, and what we do not

Every page carries an experience label saying what the work behind it actually was — researched, claim-audited, or hands-on. We do not claim testing we have not done, and a label is never decoration. Where we have not physically had a device, the page says so. How that is decided is set out in our methodology and editorial policy.

Accuracy, and its limits

Specifications change, manufacturers revise products without renaming them, and prices move. We cite sources and date them, but a figure correct on the date checked may not be correct today — confirm current specifications with the manufacturer before you buy. If you find an error, our corrections page explains how to report it and what we do about it. We would rather correct a page than defend it.

Commercial relationships

Where a link earns us a commission, it is disclosed on the page before you reach it, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides. A commercial relationship has never determined a conclusion here and will not. The current position is set out in full in our affiliate disclosure.

We link to manufacturers, retailers and published research. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

Our content

The research, writing, analysis and design here are ours and protected by copyright. Quote us with credit and a link — that is what citation is for. Do not republish whole pages, and do not use this content to train a model or to generate substitute pages without written permission. The point of a site that audits claims is that the reasoning can be traced back to a source; content stripped of its attribution defeats that.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other readers, or gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nelo Automation is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, from a purchase you made after reading it, or from any health decision taken on the basis of it.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, in which case the above applies only as far as permitted.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. They are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, and the courts serving Maine have jurisdiction.
