A site that claims to check other people's claims has to be correctable itself. This page explains how to report an error and what we do with it, and it holds the public record of corrections we have made.

How to report an error

Send us the page address, the specific statement you think is wrong, and — if you have one — the source that shows it. You do not need to be polite about it and you do not need to be an expert. See Contact.

Manufacturers are explicitly welcome to submit evidence about their own products. It will be assessed the same way as anyone else's.

What happens next

1. We check it against the original source rather than against our memory of it.
2. If it is wrong, we fix it — promptly, and without waiting for a scheduled update.
3. We record what changed where the change was material, in the table below and with a dated note on the page itself.
4. We reply to whoever reported it, including when we conclude the original was right.

What counts as material

We log a correction when the change could reasonably have altered a reader's decision: a specification, a price, a safety point, a claim's evidence status, an ordering in a comparison, or a statement about a company. Fixing a typo or a broken link is not logged, because a log that records everything hides the things that matter.

No corrections have been published yet. This is a new site with no published product pages, so there is nothing here — not because nothing is recorded, but because nothing has yet needed recording. Entries will appear here with the date, the page, what was wrong, and what it was changed to.

Withdrawn pages

If we withdraw a page entirely, its address will explain that it was withdrawn and why, rather than returning a bare "not found". A disappearing page is indistinguishable from a page that never existed, and that is not a standard we want to be held to.
