Medical Disclaimer
Last updated 7 September 2026
The Evidence Stack publishes informational and educational content about consumer health and wellness products. It is not medical advice.
Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing here should be used in place of advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your situation.
Please talk to a clinician about your own decisions
Whether a device or supplement is suitable for you depends on things this site cannot know: your medical history, your medications, your skin or eye conditions, and whether you are pregnant. If you are considering a product for a health reason — especially alongside an existing treatment — discuss it with a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional first. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
What "evidence" means here, and what it does not
When we say a manufacturer's claim is traced to human research, we mean we found published research in humans that the claim appears to rest on. That is not the same as saying the product works for you, that the research was large or well conducted, or that the effect size matters in practice. Where we cannot substantiate a claim, we say we could not substantiate it — not that the claim is false.
We describe what we did and did not do on every page, using the labels explained on our Methodology page. In particular, a Researched label means we did not physically use the product, and we never imply hands-on testing where none happened.
Who is writing, and who is not
The Evidence Stack does not claim that its contributors are physicians or healthcare professionals. Unless a specific contributor is explicitly identified on a page with verified credentials, assume the writer is not a clinician — because they are not.
That is why this site's method is to show you the sources rather than to tell you what to do. We can trace a manufacturer's claim back to the research it rests on and report honestly what we found. We cannot tell you what that means for your body, and we will not pretend otherwise.
No professional relationship
Reading this site, or contacting us, does not create a doctor–patient or any other professional relationship. We are not qualified to advise on your individual health, and we will not try to.
Product safety information comes from the manufacturer
Safety guidance, contraindications and usage instructions for any product are the manufacturer's, and theirs is the authoritative version. Read the documentation that comes with a device and follow it.
